Dr. Katie Schlecker grew up in Maryland and attended Towson University for her undergraduate studies.
She then received her veterinary degree from Virginia Tech. She is thrilled to be back in Virginia after practicing along the East Coast over the past several years, as her husband is in the Navy.
Dr. Katie’s professional interests include urgent care cases, surgery, ultrasound, and senior pet care.
In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys cycling, soccer, spending time with her husband, Lou, and riding her horse, Faye. In addition to their horse, Dr. Katie and her husband also have Boone (Redtick Coonhound), Maple (English Springer Spaniel), and two cats, Charlie and Paul.
