Adam Henderson, DVM
Owner
Adam was born and raised here in Suffolk. He attended Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and then spent 8 years at Virginia Tech to get his undergraduate and veterinary degree. He is honored to have served as the past president of the Alumni Board of the Vet School at Virginia Tech.​
Adam and Kate share their house with their son Brooks and daughter Emma, a Labrador (Samuel Adams), a Boykin Spaniel (Piper), and an English Cream Golden Retriever (Doug).​
Adam's first job in veterinary medicine was actually with Dr. Harbour during high school. It was always his dream to own a veterinary clinic, and in December 2018 he and Kate were fortunate to have Dr. Harbour's trust to take over the clinic.
Adam's interests in veterinary medicine include surgery, dentistry, emergency medicine...and Labradors!

Katherine Henderson, DVM
Owner
Kate Henderson was born in Norfolk into a Navy family but grew up in the Atlanta area. She received her Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Auburn University and her Veterinary degree from the University of Georgia. She is married to Dr. Adam Henderson. Her professional interests include internal medicine, infectious disease, and ultrasonography. She and Adam have a son (Brooks) and a daughter (Emma) as well as 3 dogs - Piper, a Boykin Spaniel, Samuel, a Labrador Retriever, and Doug, an English Cream Golden Retriever.

Elizabeth Prokop, DVM
Dr. Elizabeth Prokop is originally from McKinney, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. She then attended Oklahoma State University for her veterinary degree. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her horse Casino, scuba diving and watching Aggie football.

Daleeyah Lawrence, DVM
Dr. Daleeyah Lawrence, a Virginia native from Chesapeake and raised in Suffolk, attended Virginia Tech, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences as well as her veterinary degree. She began her journey at Tidewater Animal Clinic in 2019 as a receptionist and veterinary assistant, making this her home. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her fiancé, John, her family, friends, and her Basenji Mix, Mandi.

Jennifer Fennelly, VMD
Dr. Fennelly is a Philadelphia native who earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. She is deeply committed to empowering pet owners through education, helping them make well-informed decisions about their pets’ health. As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Fennelly is dedicated to reducing fear, stress, and pain in every patient she treats. Her professional interests include preventive care, nutrition counseling, and surgery.
Outside of veterinary practice, Dr. Fennelly enjoys outdoor adventures like biking and rock climbing, as well as winding down with horror films alongside her partner, Brian, and her stepdaughter. Their lively home includes two spirited Australian Shepherds, Link and Pepper, and a cat named MJ who proudly believes he’s one of the dogs.

Annabelle Vesterman, DVM
Dr. Annabelle Vesterman is a Hampton Roads native; she grew up in Norfolk and is so excited to be back! She obtained her BS in biology from Sweet Briar College in 2016, received her veterinary medicine degree from the Royal Veterinary College in the UK in May 2021, and has recently completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at the COVE. She has special interests in nutrition, ophthalmology, and emergency medicine. In Dr. Vesterman’s free time, she likes to bake, read, travel, and spend time with her partner Shawn, their friends and families, and their 4 pets (Abby, a Pit Bull mix; Petri and Beaker, two tabby cats; and Tiki, a red-rumped parrot).

Katie Schlecker, DVM
Dr. Katie Schlecker grew up in Maryland and attended Towson University for her undergraduate studies. She then received her veterinary degree from Virginia Tech. She is thrilled to be back in Virginia after practicing along the East Coast over the past several years, as her husband is in the Navy. Dr. Katie’s professional interests include urgent care cases, surgery, ultrasound, and senior pet care. In her free time, Dr. Katie enjoys cycling, soccer, spending time with her husband, Lou, and riding her horse, Faye. In addition to their horse, Dr. Katie and her husband also have Boone (Redtick Coonhound), Maple (English Springer Spaniel), and two cats, Charlie and Paul.
